Michael Miller Cotton Couture Broadcloth Stone
Very thin fabric feels like polyester
The plus: it's a true taupe, just like I expected for some reason and is lighter than shown. The not so good; it's a very, very thin fabric, more like a flimsy poplin than broadcloth, definitely not canvas cotton which is what "broadcloth" is to me and what I expected. What I don't like: it has a satiny feel of polyester, it's not soft like cotton and I find it very off-putting. Feels like a synthetic. However that's probably ( hopefully) due to the fabric sizing, the nasty chemicals the industry needlessly sprays on natural fabrics such as cotton. Definitely couldn't make safari slacks with this, maybe a flimsy tank or a cheap blouse that would only last a couple washes, I surmise. Not for home decor either, unless it's pillow covers for decorative pillows that no one would ever touch so they don't get destroyed which would happen fast with this flimsy fabric. I only got 1/2 yard with rebate coupon, still too pricey for this. Definitely does not warrant full price IMHO. I might or might not get more, depending if the creepy, slippery polyester feel washes off or not and depending if I find better. The color's the best part, it's a rhinoceros taupey-gray.
