Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect skirt weight I bought this to make a pinafore dress with a circle skirt, and it was just the right weight. It doesn't wrinkle too badly, for a linen blend, and it presses beautifully. I'm a sucker for yarn-dyed fabric, and the black/white weave on this is perfect for hiding your black and white dog's fur ;) My only complaint is that I wish it were wider. I would have prefered not to cut my skirt out on the crossgrain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crazy fast shipping! I bought 6 yards of the Essex yarn linen YESTERDAY at 4 pm, I check my mailbox this morning and it was already here! Never in my life have I had that fast of a shipping time! Especially during COVID! Great professionalism! Will order again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for pillowcases After washing it a few times, it became nice and soft but I tried making a shawl out of it and the wrinkling was a bit out of control. Still would buy again. Just need to know how to handle. Definitely a dark Heather grey, no where close to a black.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They cut it too short the fabric itself is fine but I'm a little upset. I really didn't want much cabbage leftover but I guess I should have gotten more than I needed because they cut my fabric too short and now I have to buy a whole yard just to finish my project. Makes me wary of buying anything else. I guess next time ill get way more than i need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new quilting obsession I saw online that other quilters were incorporating Essex yarn-dyed linen as into their quilt tops and I immediately ordered several yards of the steel, the black and the pale blue. The heft, the texture and the subtle color variegation add that special something. I am currently making a quilt using this shade as background (black, which is in reality a luscious dark-stormcloud gray) with patches of Anna Maria Horner's brightly colored, partly madras-inspired Loominous line of baby-soft wovens placed semi randomly all over the quilt top. The two fabric types are pairing up beautifully. I will be purchasing tons more Essex yarn-dyed shades for future quilting ventures. I love that incorporating even just a little gives designs a certain gravitas and flair. It doesn't hurt either that the price is right.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed. No lemon So I thought it was lemon fabric. But it works as a beautiful lemon color but it just wasn’t that Lemmon that made me want lemons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pretty mixed gray/black linen I used this linen as an accent fabric for a duffle bag I just created and am so, so happy with this fabric. It has a nice, sturdy hand and a really elegant overall color.
