There's royal blue, right? So picture the blueness of Royal blue, and translate that to purpleness. That's what you get with this fabric. Sadly, the listing image isn't anywhere close to the actual color. Rather than the murky, dusty purple that's pictured, this is bright purple. It almost reminds me of the color associated with grape on flavorings, crayons, and scented markers. It doesn't make it a bad color, it's just not the color shown.
As for the fabric, its ok. For a chiffon, it's not as soft as I would like. However, the weave is nice and solid - that is, its durable and has a good drape.
Overall, I would recommend this fabric, but order yourself a swatch first to be safe!

Rated 4 out of 5 by JennaCosplay Not as plum as picture, thin
very thin, and very see-through. Luckily the dresses i'll be making have lining and tulle to hide the body.
Also it is a more standard purple than the plum purple you see in the icon.
It doesn't do the "two-tone" as the title describes, it stays one solid colour.

Worked well for lining. However, please note that it is more of a bright grape color than dusty purple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Junebug Step Mother of the Bride dress
First time working with chiffon and it wasn't as bad as I expected. The dress turned out beautiful. The fabric was just what I needed and the drape is beautiful. I would recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Churchlady excellent draping abilities!
I purchased this fabric to decorate my church for Lent. It was reasonably priced and draped beautifully. Other fabrics looked and draped as cheap as they were. I'm very pleased with the results as were many other people.
