I bought this fabric in grey, black and white. The black and white are the kind of fabric I used to make halloween costumes as a kid. It's too stiff for most apparel uses other than some shorts. I'm not sure that it would be a good lining.
The grey was much nicer and I plan to make a lightweight, selflined pants and blazer. I don't know if it varies by bolt or color. But it's worth a shot to try these broadcloths. At the very least you get some pattern making fabric.

This fabric has a very grainy weave. It's best to use as practice fabric like for adjusting a pattern or anything of that nature. The black is also quite light. Very average overall.
