We loved this Antlers block design and paper piecing pattern by Sew What You Love so much that we created a quick video tutorial to go along with it! Antlers are trending everywhere right now, from home decor to baby clothing to quilting and beyond, and this block could be used for so many different projects.
Let's get started!
For this block we stuck with a solid background for the blog post and the video tutorial, and then mixed things up with the antlers fabric choices. The combinations are endless for this block, whether you wanted to use a buffalo check print print for a more rustic block or a floral, feminine color palette. Make it your own with fabric.com's vast selection of quilting cottons!
- 1 fat eighth for antlers (we used Glisten Metallic Gold in the blog post and Cotton + Steel Rifle Paper Co. Menagerie Rosa in the video)
- 1/2 yd background fabric (we used Kona Cotton Eggshell in this post and Kona Cotton Aqua in the video
- Optional: fabric flowers for center of antlers (we used Amy Butler Eternal Sunshine)
Once you pick out the perfect fabrics for your antlers, you are ready to get started! Click here to download the Antlers Block pattern. This pattern is for a 12"12" finished block, and you will need basic knowledge of paper piecing before getting started.
