When we think of Christmas one of the first things we think of is the Nutcracker. Lisa from @sewwhatyoulove designed this Nutcracker quilt block free pattern and turned it into a festive table runner, and we are in love!
This fun foundation paper piecing pattern can be used for quilts, wall hangings, pillows and more this season. Let's get started!
Depending on your holiday aesthetic, the fabric possibilities are endless for this project. Before you get started sewing, check out all of our holiday cotton prints here and select your favorites.
We went with a simple black, white, gold color scheme with a modern flair and paired Kaufman Essex Yarn Dyed Linen Blend Metallic Camel with an assortment of prints from the Kaufman Arroyo Linen collection. Like the black and white look? Click here to browse black and white quilting cotton!
Click here to download the free Nutcracker qulit block pattern! For this project, we pieced together two Nutcracker and added some Fall Geese (free pattern available here) to make the table runner.
If you want to create coordinating napkins for your holiday tablescape, we have a great tutorial for them here! We used Kona Cotton Black to coordinate with the prints.
Happy holiday sewing!
