Welcome to the second installment of the fabric.com Summer Block Party! Today we are creating a nautical block that can be used as a wall hanging, pillow or quilt top (of course). The possibilities are endless!
This pattern was inspired by Kristi from Initial K. Studio's time spent along the South Texas Coast as a child. Let's get started!
For this block we chose three Kona Cotton solids (there are over 300 colors available on fabric.com!), but it would be fun to experiment with prints too.
- Kona Cotton Navy - 1 Fat Quarter
- Kona Cotton Lime - 1 Fat Quarter
- Kona Cotton PFD Bleach White - 1 Fat Quarter
Or, click here to browse fabric.com's vast quilting fabric selection. We'd love to hear what fabrics you have in mind for this block in the comments section!
The pattern includes measurements, easy-to-use instructions, and a quilt block diagram. Be sure to read through all of the instructions before you begin.
Happy sewing, everyone! Next up in our Summer Block Party is Cristy from Love You Sew with a camping theme "Camp Out" block.
