For the Fleece Blanket:

Cut labeled selvedge off and trim the fabric so that the orientation is a proportional rectangle. Use the fabric’s print as a guide.
Sew ½’’ double fold hem along each selvedge
Sew 1’’ double fold hem along the bottom
Sew 2’’ double fold hem along the top

And you’re done!

For the Pillowcase:

Be mindful of the orientation of the TMNT print and which side you want to pillowcase to open on. I did mine so the accent would be on the left side of the pillowcase. I used my son’s pillow, which is a smaller size. You can get away with a yard of fabric for a kid’s size pillow, but a bigger pillow may require more than a yard of fabric, especially to allow for shrinkage during the prewashing.

24 ½’’ x 37’’ piece of TMNT Cotton, and 11 ½’’ x 37’’ Kona Cotton Water for accent.
Fold right sides together and sew length and 1 side of TMNT Cotton for the body of the pillowcase.

Serge, zig zag stitch or use pinking shears on the seam allowance to prevent fraying. Flip inside out, so that the right side is now face up.

Fold right sides together and sew the length of the accent fold. Press seam open with an iron. Flip inside out so the seam in concealed.

Fold the width in half and iron so you have a 5’’ width folded piece with 2 raw edges. Almost done!

Join the raw edge of the TMNT pillowcase and the raw edges of the Kona Cotton folded accent piece together via flat felled seam.
