Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not white... I will state upfront, that I have not sewn with this yet, but was surprised when I opened the fabric, that the color is NOT white. It is more silver/grey and feels almost like a knit fabric. Looks like 3 layers, with the center being black, which accounts for the overall grey appearance of the fabric. If you are hoping to have white against the window and viewable from outside, don't use this fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome stuff!! I ordered about 6 swatches of different blackout curtain material - this stuff is amazing and beat them all. It folds and moves like regular fabric, not like typical blackout fabric. It's got a little bit of give - kind of like jersey, but not quite that much. Even though it's polyester, I found I could iron it on a fairly high setting and it doesn't melt or get shiny - steam helps. It sewed together great, no special sewing machine settings, although it is quite thick. We are using it for blackout curtains in the nursery behind our more decorative curtains.
