Rated 5 out of 5 by CroomScM Slightly Less Bright
Since I order my solid quilting fabric online, I have to rely on computer screens and reviews of others that give me an idea how close the screen color is to the actual fabric received. While I understand that screen settings vary, I do think that it helps to get somebody else's opinion.
I have found that fabric.com's cotton couture thumbnails are usually spot on, but the Kona cotton colors can differ drastically.
That being said, the cotton couture apple I received is very close in saturation and value to this listing. It is perhaps a tad less bright and not as sour applish, meaning it has less yellow in it. The fern green for comparison's sake is lighter and goes more into green-yellow.
Frankly, I love cotton couture's smooth hand. It cuts and sews beautifully. It isn't as stiff as the Kona cottons, but the two dollar price difference make me reach for Konas, rather than cotton couture. I buy large quantities when it is on sale, but it is slightly overpriced compared to Kona or American Brand Solids.
Again, a beautiful color, but I really wish the price were lower.
