Rated 3 out of 5 by from Depends on the use. I purchased this fabric to make myself a summer night gown. When it arrived, I was both pleased and disappointed. The fabric color is a very muted gray---sort of a shabby chic or vintage looking gray. To my mind, a perfect calming color to help with a good night's sleep. The texture of the fabric not so much. It looks like gauze, but it does not have two layers. It has one layer that is fairly smooth on the front and rather rough on the back. I do not like to pre-wash fabrics before I make garments, but in this case I did. Washing did soften the fabric a bit, but it did not succeed in getting the fabric to be soft enough or "drapey" enough to be really comfortable for nightwear. I guess I'll make my granddaughter a blouse with it, and she can wear a cami under it. I have purchased a number of double gauzes in the last six months. They have all been prints with a background color. In my opinion, none of them have had that ultra softness that one would want to make baby clothes or swaddling blankets. I have not purchased any with a white background and minimal print yet, but I suspect that the softness issue is related to the amount of dye that is required for an individual design. I am thinking about buying on of the white background prints to see if my theory is correct.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rough and coarse fabric The pattern on the fabric is pretty, but the fabric itself is awful. It has a very coarse and open weave with thick rough threads. Not like any other double-gauze that I have bought. I don't know what I can use this fabric for now, it is too see-through for clothes and too rough for baby blankets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I was expecting I bought this along with a bespoke double gauze, this is NOT double gauze. It is only one layer, and so rough and see through. Extremely disappointed in this fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and pretty! I was very excited to find such a nice selection of double gauze to make "muslin" baby swaddling blankets. The three I ordered washed up so soft and lightweight - can't wait to give them as gifts! Good value too - cheaper and more options than I could find premade.
