Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft, supple, tightly woven and lovely! I ordered a swatch of this, along with several other linen/polyester blend upholstery fabrics. This one was the winner, hands-down! When holding this one and the others up to the light, this was the most tightly-woven (more durable). It still has nice drape though, considering the weight. The part I really like though is that it doesn't have any of that shiny, plastic-ey look of the other blends! I also love the distressed look, though that's personal taste. The color in real life is a bit lighter than the photo... I'd describe it as more of a dark, distressed denim blue with a bit of dark grayish tinge. Perfect for my application! I'll try to come back and post a photo of my finished project (a french mattress cover for a platform-style couch). ps: I'll be sewing this up with my industrial Juki DNU1541, however, you could sew this with either a workhorse vintage machine or even a decent "all purpose" home sewing machine. In that case, you'd just want to be sure to use a size 18 needle and a walking foot. You'll probably still have to muscle it over some intersecting seams, but it wouldn't be too bad. Like sewing denim...
