This is a beautiful blend of silk and cotton, truly the best of both worlds. I sew couture doll clothes, so I'm forever searching for very lightweight fabrics, especially formal fabrics for miniature evening gowns and bridal-wear. This fits the bill perfectly! It's thin and fluid, so it drapes, yet still has body, so it's not like working with difficult charmeuse. The right side has a lovely sheen, not quite as shiny as satin, more like sateen, while the wrong side is matte, like cotton voile or lawn, but softer.
From the photo, I thought the fabric was going to be a pinkish-beige, like a light skin-tone, but it's actually more of an ecru---darker than ivory, but lighter than tan, with no hint of pink. It won't work for its intended project, but it's such a great fabric, I'm sure I'll find a use for it soon. It's absolutely perfect for high-quality doll clothes, but it would also make a lovely summer wedding gown (in white or ivory), or perhaps vintage-style lingerie or nightgowns, a lightweight blouse, or even a luxurious bedspread (if you quilted it).
It's expensive, but so beautiful, it's worth every penny! I've already bought additional yardage in ivory, for a doll's wedding gown, and I plan on ordering pink, aqua, teal, and any other colors I can get my hands on! You can't go wrong with this silk-cotton blend.

Rated 5 out of 5 beautiful fabric
Despite the expense, I love this fabric for pajamas and slip/shorts. I purchased this color and black to make pairs of slip/shorts, as I like them better than regular slips under dresses, especially during the summer. this fabric is extremely lightweight, comfortable, soft to the skin, and breathable. I use the silk side out, use a lingerie elastic at the waist, and sew all seams French. This is a strong fabric despite weight
