Rated 5 out of 5 by bringing the family closer I recently found this kind of yarn and have never been so happy to make blankets. Normally I didn't like to make blankets with yarn cause most of it is just that rough texture. Since finding bernat baby yarn all my nieces and nephews now want auntie to make them one too. Ages from 13-new born! I do wish your company made adult colors as well! July 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's so soft I wish it came in adult colors! I'm making a floor blanket out of this bulky chenille yarn. I've found that crochet hook size N /9 mm works best for me. The yarn is so soft it's a dream to work with! It's quite thick, so I'm using it to make a floor blanket -one you put on the floor to cushion baby while they play. In my opinion this would be too bulky to make a blanket in which to wrap the baby, unless you live in a very cold northern climate! My only complaints are 1) that the yarn does not come in adult colors in addition to the baby ones; and 2) that the Summer Day color doesn't have coordinating solids. I'm making my blanket with Summer Day and White, but I would have loved a matching purple and green as well! Hopefully will soon carry the Big Ball version of this color. To make a blanket you really need several big balls - I've used 3 so far for a blanket in seed stitch. My daughter and I can't keep our hands off this yarn and would love to have leg warmers, hats and scarves if we could find colors like grey, purple, teal, and deep blue! April 2, 2014
