Let me first warn you that this will be shiny when you receive it(it is polyester!). But after a quick wash with my regular detergent, splash of bleach, & fabric softener it did loose a lot of that shine. I fell in love with smocked burlap drapes on a blog & set out to make my own(I refuse to pay $150+ for one panel!). My first attempt was with My fave Sultana burlap in natural. It turned out great-but being so stiff it just didn't drape/hang like the one from the blog. So I decided to try the Vintage Poly Burlap! It is the exact look I was going for. As you can see in the pics it looks pretty close to burlap(100% jute on left) but it doesn't smell or shed and was much easier to work with. As a huge bonus, it can be cut using the same method you do for burlap-snip, slowly pull a thread through, then cut along the channel it leaves! I've decided this is the more grown up sophisticated sister to burlap. While I still love the 100% jute for table runners etc., this is perfect for drapes!
