Agree with another reviewer- more nylon and plastic feeling than anything else, I am used to polyester being quite soft. Could not convince myself to use this as a lining- it would not feel good against skin at all. Might use to make a test garment, but overall not worth it for lining. Also, absolutely NO stretch to this fabric.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brian Two black poly linings: this is the good one
There are two black poly linings that I've purchased. One has a ripstop grid and sells for about $5 per yard and feels more like nylon with a calendared side. This is the taffeta polyester and it's got a substantial feel to it, but it's thin enough for a lining and it's nice to work with. I order it often and like it. The style with the grid... well it's not much of a lining at all. It's possibly a polyester ripstop (but is probably a nylon ripstop). Anyway, this is the good one. Buy it with confidence. I often do.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lidia Nothing luxurious about this one
This fabric feels more like nylon than polyester. It's very static and feels like you working with plastic. Wouldn't recommend, not even for lining...
