Rated 4 out of 5 by scroop maybe the color changes with dye lot?
This is a durable linen, a bit heavier than linen blouses I have had. It has lasted well as a baby sling for 2 years, and shows no signs of wear. Mine is quite a bit browner than the sample shown, though about the same value. It's more of a flax-y oatmeal than a gray. Maybe the colors vary wildly depending on the bolt?
I am giving it four stars instead of five simply because the color seems so off. I realize it is difficult to convey color on computers universally, but it seems that this is a problem throughout the linen selections on this website. Perhaps if samples were less expensive, or one could get an inexpensive sample chart with tiny samples, there would be fewer complaints!

Rated 5 out of 5 by AEven Fabric quality is great but color is not represented correctly
I have ordered many times from Fabric.com and have always been completely satisfied. While I love the quality of this fabric and will go on to use it for what I intended, it is much greyer than the sample photo showed. It necessitated a change of paint color for me. I'm not sure how the coloration could be better displayed, but at least a comment of sorts could be printed along with fabric description warning that the color is different.

I ordered a sample of this thinking it was the perfect light gray/flax color for my living room, much darker gray than pictured.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PilloMatic Amazing bouncy Linen
This is an incredible linen for upholstery/drapes/pillows. It is stiff and bouncy with a beautiful texture. The photo is very close to the color in real life, I would just say there is a hair more faint grey to it. Absolutely love it (perfect for any project with a restoration hardware look)!

Rated 5 out of 5 by textilelover Great fabric, but color is different
The European 100% linen is a very nice fabric. On my screen the color appeared to be grayish, but it is like a medium gray beige.
