Rated 5 out of 5 by Great inexpensive serger I bought this serger because of the price. To say that I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and functionality is a huge understatement. This serger is a hard worker! Works wonderfully sewing knits, wovens and even thick cloth diapers. I have sewn 6 layers of hemp cotton jersey at a time without any problem. Sews Denim like a dream. It uses regular needles, and is very easy to thread. June 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great inexpensive serger I did purchase my serger used but I love it. It was easy to learn to thread and use. If it ever gives out, I would buy the same machine again. November 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy way to have professional look! This is a very nice serger and the price is sooooo good. Brother products have always been a preferred brand for me; their quality and consistency keep me coming back. Once the threading has been mastered, and there are many YouTube videos to help with that if the manual is confusing, the rest is almost too easy. I found that careful pedaling kept my machine in top shape. Sewing/serger machine engines will burn up if they are run too fast for too long because of the heat build-up. Keeping the speed to a moderate speed will extend it's life for a VERY long time. Clean it after every project with it's brush and q-tips. A very little bit of moisture on these can help pick up dust. Also, those small vacuum attachments for sewing machines are the best way to go. These newer machines now use regular sewing needles. Fabulous! Happy sewing! November 10, 2013
